The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) is a non-profit organization that offers state supervisors with a national forum to coordinate supervision and develop policy related to their regulated entities. It also provides training to state banking and financial regulators and represents its members before Congress and the federal financial regulatory agencies. The CSBS represents financial regulators from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) was organized in 1902 as the National Association of Supervisors of State Banks in Washington, D.C., United States. In 1971, the name of the organization was changed to the Conference of State Bank Supervisors to better reflect the ongoing nature of its activities.
