Notepad++ is a source code editor which supports several programming languages running under the MS Windows environment. It supports tabbed editing, which allows working with multiple open files in a single window. Some of its general features include tabbed document interface, drag-and-drop, multiple clipboards, split screen editing and synchronized scrolling, spell checker, data comparison, and zooming as well as source code editing features such as auto-completion, syntax highlighting, syntax folding, brace and indent highlighting, speech synthesis, macro recording and execution, file status auto-detection, and more. Notepad++ natively supports languages such as XML, Python, CSS, HTML, Ruby, Pascal, Visual Basic, and more.
