SafeLi is a startup that develops lithium-ion battery parts made from a graphene monoxide that boosts the energy storage capacity of li-ion batteries. The company develops and commercializes products covered by the licensed patent in all fields of use, with an initial focus on Lithium-Ion batteries. These materials are based on abundant, non-toxic starting materials that offer low-cost, safer, and higher capacity alternatives to graphite-only anode batteries. Batteries with patented materials demonstrates higher capacity and faster charge rates than graphite. It was founded in 2016 by Drs. Carol Hirschmugl and Marija Gajdardziska-Josifovska in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
